A massive thanks to artist and friend COCOSOLID for documenting this years FAFSWAG BALL. As part of her new music video for her hot new track Heavens Gate, Jess put together this stunning video profiling the community and all its XXL personality and talent. Thanks to Cocosolid and the awesome team that put this project colab together.
‘Heavens Gate’ is a song about getting rid of labels’
“The Fafswag Ball is one of, if not the most important social event in my circle and I thought it was criminally under-represented. I wanted to have this deadly and talented community speak and represent themselves without the usual ‘outcast’ lense, just offer something that reflects the sonic power of the fa’afafine and showcase those that think outside of gender norms.”
BE SURE TO SHARE THE LOVE AND BUY THE TRACK HERE.
